Today I turn 40. I am embracing it and enjoying it. When Jerad (my hubbie) asked me what I wanted for my birthday this year, I knew EXACTLY what I wanted. You see I have been dreaming up this idea with my friend Michelle for years, even before I became a photographer. It developed into more of a reality one warm summer evening at Top Golf with the people that I adore.
My favorite movie is Clue.
I have happy memories of watching it back in the day. My younger brother, Jonathan, and I went to the video rental store and found this movie. We loved it and watched it a couple times before having to return it. I am pretty sure we rented it as often as my parents would let us. The characters in the movie are portrayed differently than the board game, so don’t be confused. These images are about the movie characters. I wanted to bring these characters to life, and can I just say we did!
I cannot take the credit for how fabulously perfect these images turned out… Sarah with Sarah Goff Photography, who is a wedding photographer extraordinaire, captured these characters with her talent. I really wanted to be in the images and be the photographer, but I knew that it would be too much. I am so very thankful that we found the gal with the skills to create this epic experience.
I introduce to you Mrs. Peacock, Wadsworth, Evette, Miss Scarlett, Professor Plum, Mr. Green, Mrs. White, & Colonel Mustard
A big, huge THANK YOU to my friends for doing this with me! We prepped and planned for months, searching for the right costumes, props and location. Miss Scarlett’s dress is from Disguises in Lakewood. The pictures were taken at the Callahan House in Longmont. We had a great time laughing about how some of us actually look like some of the characters. These people are my tribe and these photos check off a dream on my bucket list! Cheers to 40!
